The Starters!
These are the starters for The pokemon Games and movesets for them: Well Start with Kanto. At The Beginning of Each Pokemon Game, You Get A pokemon To Start With. You Can Choose Between Fire, Grass, and Water. Well, Here they are, stats, and movesets!
We'll start with Bulbasaur and its evolutions:
Base Stats:
Bulbasaur: HP: 45 Attack: 49 Defense: 49 Special Attack: 65 Special Defense: 65 Speed: 45 Total: 318
Ivysaur: HP: 60 Attack: 62 Defense: 63 Special Attack: 80 Special Defense: 80 Speed: 60 Total: 405
Venasaur: HP: 80 Attack: 82 Defense: 83 Special Attack: 100 Special Defense: 100 Speed: 80 Total: 525
Evolutions: Bulbasaur>Ivysaur at lvl 16 Ivysaur>Venasaur at lvl 32.
Movesets: This is by far my favorite set for Venasaur. This Turns Venasaur into an excellent Sweeper.
Nature: Naughty(+Atk -Sp defense)
Item: Miracle Seed or Soft Sand
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 4 hp
Moves: Swords Dance(doubles Venasaurs low attack stat for easy Sweeping), Earthquake(100 Power, 100 accuracy, covers fire weakness), Sludge Bomb(Good power, Good Accuracy, STAB), And Energy Ball or Seed Bomb(probably seed bomb as, after Swords Dance, Venasaur would have higher attack).
Conclusion: Overall, Venasuar is pretty decent, if you train him right, he has pretty high stats. For a starter, hes not really in the "Great" ranks though he'll get you through the game. His biggest problem, is that he has high special attack, and yet, all of his best attacks are physical. Thats why you need to EV train him in attack, and give him an attack nature.

Nature: Adamant(+Attack -Special Attack)
Item: Leftovers or Miracle Seed, or Soft Sand
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 4 HP
Moves: Seed Bomb(Strong STAB), Earthquake(strong move with great power and accuracy and STAB), Stone Edge(covers all Four of Torterras Weaknesses), and Swords Dance, or Iron Tail or Rock Polish(Swords Dance for doubling attack, or Iron Tail for more coverage or speed boost).
